Honeywell CPG Turns City Block Into Outdoor "Brand Store" For Woodward Dream Cruise

FRAM, Prestone, Autolite and Bendix Brands Team up to Show Their Love for Hot Rods During Single Largest One Day Auto Event in the World

Danbury , Conn. , August 15, 2007 — Woodward Avenue will be a car lover's heaven on August 18th, as more than one million people and 40,000 muscle cars, street rods, custom, collector and special interest vehicles crowd the street for the 13th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise. To satisfy the needs of attending do-it-yourselfers, enthusiasts and customers from around the country, the Honeywell Consumer Product Group brands have rented a city block and will have two tents set up — one hospitality tent for their customers and employees and one for consumers to peruse through. Employees will be on hand to answer questions and give away everything from hats and t-shirts to samples of car care products.

"We have so many employees on staff that are die-hard automotive enthusiasts. This is just a great venue for us to participate in and show our support of the aftermarket and the do-it-yourselfer," said Jay Buckley, technical training manager for Honeywell CPG and Bendix Brakes Answerman. "In fact, about 70 of our own employees and customers will have their hot rods on display in the front of our lot."

In addition, World Series of Off-Road Racing driver Dave Waldvogel will be autographing posters that showcase his Super Chevy, which will also be on display. Waldvogel, who has been sponsored by Bendix Brakes North America for the last three years, is in second place in the Off-Road Racing ranks. To help him compete successfully, he uses many of his sponsor's products such as Bendix® Fleet MetLok® brake pads, Bendix® Street HP Rotors and Calipers, Bendix® Brake Fluid and Bendix® CeramLub® brake lubricant. The Honeywell CPG booth will be located at 50501 South Woodward Avenue in Pontiac, Mich. Customers that would like to attend should contact their local Honeywell CPG sale representative to secure an invitation, which will be needed to get into the hospitality suite.
